About Me

Specialising in narrative, documentaries, music videos, and commercial work. I love working on projects with human stories that resonate and emotionally engage audiences in fantastical or ambiguous worlds. Working in camera and editing departments, I enjoy creating provocative visuals that tell stories about the human spirit using my creative techniques. I am seeking to learn from new opportunities and experiences that will help me continue to grow my career in the Australian film industry.

Experience

My earliest projects consisted of me being the director, writer, editor, gaffer and director of photography (DOP). These projects were short films called Stay Inside (2022), THINK OF FLOWERS (2022), Only Spirits Follow the Bell (2022), and XERO SUGAR (2022). I have also worked with other people as a DOP and gaffer on their projects, such as the newly released heart-breaking and emotional sci-fi drama Bluefish (2023).

Some of the films I've worked on have already been seen on the big screen at internationally recognised film festivals across Australia. Most notably XERO SUGAR (2022) was selected for Byron Bay International Film Festival and got me nominated as Australian Filmmaker of the Year. It also won Best Emerging Filmmaker, and Best Experimental Film at the Changing Face International Film Festival.

At the end of 2022, I got a job working on Rock Island Mysteries Season 2 (2023) as the Camera Truck Loader. This experience helped me learn more about the industry and eventually led to me taking these valuable experiences and skills and applying them to my end of year projects.

Recently I worked as a DOP on the fun, yet heartfelt documentary Splendour in the Mud (2023), which has already won student film of the month at the Changing Face International Film Festival and was officially selected for their end of year program. I also shot There's No Blue in that Painting (2023), a drama about an art critic who must judge a series of painting, however on of the paintings is by her ex-partner basing it on her and the relationship they had, causing her try and prevent it from winning.

Only just graduating from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film, Screen and New Media) - with distinction, I am looking forward in continuing to practice my craft and continue developing my skills with clients, working behind the camera or in post with other like minded creatives.
